Getting started
Your bag and item actions
This page helps you learn to play.
Carry supplies, organise your bag and keep space for your next catch.
Using items
Your bag has 28 slots. Stackable items share a slot; other items each take their own space. The Items pages explain which can stack.
Click or tap an item to use its first action, such as Eat, Cook or Examine. Right click with a mouse, or hold on a touch screen, to open its other actions.
Drag an item onto another slot to rearrange your bag. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys to move between slots and Enter or Space to perform the first action.
Making room
Visit Eleazar at the storehouse and choose Bank to put spare items away. Keep food, fishing tackle, bait and anything needed for your current quest within reach.
Check an item’s menu before dropping it. A dropped item is not destroyed at once: it lies on the ground where you stand for a few minutes, then it is gone (see Dropped items on the ground). Shift click drop is optional in settings and starts switched off. Take care when enabling it around supplies you want to keep.
Items for a quest must be in your bag when you hand them over. Stored supplies need to be withdrawn first.
This guide describes game mechanics. Skill names and levels describe a character’s progress, not a person’s spiritual standing.
