What is The Way?

The Way is a game you play online. You are a traveller in Capernaum. It is a town by a big lake.
You can fish, cook, help people and go on quests. Other people play too.
To play, you need a Saint Gaming account. For now, accounts are for players aged 13 and over.
Walk

- Click or tap the ground. Your traveller walks there.
- Turn the camera to look all around you.
- On a phone, you can turn on the movement stick in the menu.
Talk

- Walk up to a person.
- Click or tap them to talk.
- Read what they say. Some of them have a job for you!
Fish

- Buy a rod and some bait from Menahem. He is on the shore.
- Walk to the end of a jetty.
- Click or tap the ripples in the water.
- Wait for a bite. Sometimes a fish pulls hard. Answer quickly!
Cook

- Walk to the fire of coals on the shore.
- Click or tap the fire. Choose to cook your fish.
- Sometimes food burns. That is all right. Try again!
Eat

- Open your bag.
- Click or tap your cooked fish to eat it.
- Food gives you back Peace. Peace is the green ball by the map.
Find quests

- Open the Quests tab to see every quest.
- Talk to Menahem on the shore. He starts The Torn Net.
- Lost? Choose Highlight next step. A white diamond shows on your map.
Stay safe

- Spirits live in the cave and the hills.
- Take food with you before you go.
- If your Peace gets low, step back and eat.
- If it runs out, you wake up safe in the House of Healing.
- Never tell anyone your password, your home or your school.
- If someone is unkind, open their menu. Block them or report them.
- Tell a grown up you trust.
Be kind

- Some people in Capernaum are in need.
- Give food to someone who is hungry.
- Helping them trains your Righteousness skill.
- Say kind things in chat. Help new travellers find their way.
Your first adventure
- Make your traveller and walk into Capernaum.
- Talk to Menahem to begin The Torn Net.
- Next, visit Yehudit for A Table for the Believers.
- Play the Scripture games on the roads out of the village. They raise Knowledge.
- After that, at Knowledge level 5, talk to Hannah. She starts Out of the Darkness.
- Play at your own pace. Take a break whenever you like.
This guide describes game mechanics. Skill names and levels describe a character’s progress, not a person’s spiritual standing.
