Combat
World bosses
This page is about Faith and the spirits.
Prepare with other travellers, watch the warning and move before the impact.
Joining an encounter
World bosses rotate between the hills, the shore and the high road. The in-game banner gives the next location and countdown for your Capernaum.
Complete Out of the Darkness before fighting one. These are level 90 encounters designed for a group; Faith level 50 is recommended. Bring food and leave yourself room to move.
Reading attacks
The boss moves a few metres around its spawn and randomly changes targets among participating travellers. It avoids choosing the same traveller twice in a row when others are available. Starting the fight does not mean you will be its only target.
Red circles mark both small focused strikes and larger ground blasts. The circle stays where it appeared: move out before the four-second warning finishes. The pale ring fills towards impact, and a short recovery follows each attack. Do not return until the impact has finished.
Keep watching the ground while attacking. A bigger damage number is not worth standing in a warning.
Its focused strike is a fiery dart: The shield of faith, held at its moment, blocks it. Its ground blast is a great blow: Greater is he blocks it, or move out of the circle.
Rewards and timing
Boss Faith XP comes from actual damage on accepted hits, at 2 XP per point of darkness removed. The last hit does not take the entire reward.
A boss is scheduled every three hours and remains for up to twenty minutes if not defeated. Follow the live banner rather than a local clock or an old screenshot.
This guide describes game mechanics. Skill names and levels describe a character’s progress, not a person’s spiritual standing.
