Getting started
Updates and troubleshooting
This page helps you learn to play.
Recognise an update, preserve progress and report a useful bug.
When an update arrives
After a new release is deployed and verified, open games can show a ten-second restart countdown. Detection normally happens within about two minutes.
A Git push alone does not mean the website has finished deploying. If you still see an older version after a release, refresh the page.
A reward could not be counted
Check the Game chat for the specific message. An old game version may need refreshing after an update. Network errors, cooldowns and invalid actions can also cause a request to be refused.
Report what you were doing, the location, approximate time, message and device. A screenshot is helpful, but remove private information. Do not send your password.
Progress and connection
Rewards and quest progress are validated and stored on the server. Keep the page open until an action has received its result.
If multiplayer disconnects, wait for reconnection before assuming another traveller has left. If a quest marker seems wrong, check the active journal step.
This guide describes game mechanics. Skill names and levels describe a character’s progress, not a person’s spiritual standing.
